Privacy Statement

Whether you are a customer or a non-customer relation of LV4A, it is possible that you share personal data with LV4A when you are in contact with us. In order to deliver quality service, you will need to provide us with information, including personal data. This is the case when you chat with LV4A, or e-mail us, or speak to somebody from LV4A. We value the protection of your (personal) data and find it important that you understand how we handle your (personal data) and guarantee confidentiality. In this Privacy Statement we will provide you with more information about how we handle your (personal)data.

What is personal data?

What do we use your personal data for?

Because you came in contact with LV4A, you have provided us with some information. The personal data you have provided us, will only be used for the following purposes:

We use personal data only for these purposes and never transfer the data to third parties without a legal basis or your permission. If we are allowed to transfer the data, we will impose the same protection and security measures on the third party as the measures that are used by LV4A.

The processing takes place on the basis of the following:

a) the processing is necessary for the conclusion and execution of the agreement between you and LV4A;

b) the processing is necessary for the compliance with a legal obligation;

c) you have given consent to LV4A to process your data.

From whom do we process personal data?

We process personal data of our customers and visitors of our website and/or app. This is part of our business operation. Important: if you, as an organization or company, provide us with personal data of your employees, then you are obliged to inform your employees about this matter.

We process the following personal data:

• Any other information that you have provided us with without obligation

We do not process any personal data that we have not obtained directly from you.

How do we handle your personal data?

When processing personal data, LV4A adheres to the rules laid down by the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and other (privacy) laws and regulations. This means that we only collect and process personal data if there is a basis and purpose for such conduct. Only the personal data that are necessary are collected and subsequently processed for that specific purpose. We take into consideration the nature of the personal data and coordinate an appropriate technical and organizational level of security. You can therefore depend on us that we handle personal data with care, security and confidentiality.

Confidentiality and third parties

Certain elements of our services require that we engage third parties to support us in our services. For this, it is necessary that these parties have access to your personal data. Of course, we guarantee the protection of your personal data in such cases as well. In order to do this, these third parties have received and signed a confidentiality agreement. By signing this confidentiality agreement, these parties are bound to confidentiality of your personal data and correct and diligent use of your personal data. Moreover, only those persons and organizations that are dependent on access to the personal data in order to perform their tasks, have access to the personal data concerned.

In addition, if this is required by the law, LV4A will make sure to enter into a data processing agreement with third parties if these third parties process your data on behalf of LV4A. By entering into such data processing agreements, LV4A can guarantee the confidentiality and protection of your data.

Access and correction of your data

We collect and process your personal data, but your data belongs to you at all times. That is why we always offer you the possibility to access the personal data we process, in order to see what data has been collected about you. Storage period

We do not store your data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which we have obtained the data from you. The criteria for determining the period of your personal data are (a) the duration of the agreement with L4VA, (b) the existence of a legal retention obligation or period (c) the existence of a (potential) claim or dispute for which the data should be stored.

Persistent cookies

LV4A recognizes your new visit to our website and app by using persistent cookies. Our website and app can therefore be adjusted to your preferences. Session cookies enable LV4A to keep track of which parts of the website and app you have viewed during your visit. We therefore are able to adjust our services as much as possible to the surfing behaviour of our visitors. Session cookies are deleted when the web browser is closed.

With your permission we place tracking cookies on your equipment. These cookies can be requested as soon as you visit a website or app from our network. This enables us to learn more about whether you have visited other website(s) from our network in addition to our website. The tracking cookies can also be used by advertisers who use the same network.

A profile is created by using tracking cookies. This profile is not linked to, for example, your name, address, or email address. It only serves to match advertisements to your profile so that they are as relevant as possible to you.

Cookies from the American company Google is placed via our website as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to keep track of and get reports on how visitors use the website. We have no influence on this matter. We have allowed Google to use the obtained analytics information for other Google services.

The information that Google collects is anonymized as much as possible. We have requested Google to mask your IP address and we have concluded a processing agreement with Google.

Social Media

Social media cookies are cookies which enable the functionality of social media pages. Buttons are included on our website and app to promote or share web pages on social networks, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube and Twitter. These buttons work through snippets of code derived from Facebook or Twitter itself. Through the use of these codes, cookies are being placed. Unfortunately, we have no influence on this coding. Please read the privacy statement of the social media networks (which changes regularly) to see what they do with your (personal)data that they process with these cookies.

The information that they collect is anonymized as much as possible. The information is transferred to and stored by Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and possibly other social media networks on servers in the United States.

The right to view, correct or delete

You have the right to request access to and correction or deletion of your data. To prevent abuse, we can ask you to identify yourself adequately. When it comes to access to personal data linked to a cookie, you must send a copy of the cookie in question. You can find this in the settings of your browser.
